Londoner and No Ceilings alumnus Leks Rivers taps Maryland rapper Innanet James for the new remix of “Soho Knights,” off the Project Nomad EP. It’s an unlikely combination of two up-and-comers, but it makes so much sense. Both artists have an unpredictable element to their delivery, with overflowing energy levels and a youthful DIY vibe.

“I first saw ‘Black’ on my SoundCloud feed a day after if was released,” says Leks. “But I didn’t actually listen to the record until the day after. A few days after that, my management said, ‘Have you heard this kid IJ? He’s sick, you should get him on the remix.’ I listened & the energy was just there.”

“It worked really smoothly, despite it being a song that was made when both artists weren’t in the same room—which I usually hate. He’s raw, he’s got energy, and he’s got something to say so I fuck with that. He was always gonna be on this song, we were just two kids heading down different roads at midnight and bumped into each other at the junction. This is the result and I can’t wait for everyone to hear it!”
