Karen O, lead singer of Yeah Yeah Yeahs, just tweeted for the first time about an hour ago to announce her debut solo album, Crush Songs. The album was written and recorded around the time Karen O was 27 (she’s now 35) and unsure if she’d ever fall in love again. The project will be released on September 9 via Julian Casablancas’ label, Cult Records.
