Here’s an exclusive from Justin Taylor‘s upcoming project The Prequel. This is one of my favorite songs from the project and Justin gave me the okay to put it out there. The beat has a cinematic, atmospheric feel to it that compliments Justin’s melodic flow and spacey lyrics. To all the fans of Cudi – check this one out, it’s definitely floating out there in the same section of space. Justin is one of those artists that thrives outside of the stereotypical label. A lot of his music is hip-hop, but I definitely wouldn’t stick him with the “rapper” title. His versatility leads to some risk-taking that pays off big on songs like “Closing In On Me”.
