Here’s another one from Bright Eyes‘ upcoming The People’s Key, out February 15th. Haile Selassie was the emperor of Ethiopia from 1930 to 1974 and followers of the Rastafari movement believe him to be God incarnate. As with “Shell Games“, “Haile Selassie” showcases Bright Eyes ditching the twangy folk vibe for a more robust rock sound. This one doesn’t grab me like “Shell Games” did, but I like the direction of this album. Download it below or at Spinner. Thanks to Pretty Much Amazing.
