The New Wave is a feature we’ll be presenting every Tuesday. It will highlight one song we’re currently obsessed with, by a new or rising artist.
What we say:
It’s another one of those cases where we know nothing about a new artist besides the basics (even after an email interview). The only real information we have is that BOYBOY was raised in New Zealand and is now based in Los Angeles, and that his first two singles are awesome. “Boy” is a slightly off-kilter pop song with a relaxed groove and warm vibes, and it’s going to be in heavy rotation as we get ready for summer.
