Bloc Party Reunites, Plans New Album For 2012

1.

Details on Bloc Party’s internal workings were a little sketchy in 2011, but it seemed that lead singer Kele Okereke and the band had their issues. With a new year comes some good news: the band has worked out whatever needed working out, and they have plans to put out a new album in 2012, with Okereke as their frontman. This will be the first album since 2008’s Intimacy.

The news was confirmed this morning during Kele’s interview with Zane Lowe of Radio 1, and the band’s website hints at a confirmation with a post that simply reads, “Bloc Party Is Still Bloc Party. See you soon.”
