At SXSW, Vibe had a chance to speak with A$AP Ferg about the recent passing of his collaborator A$AP Yams. Since the A$AP Mob founder’s cause of death was revealed last week, members of the rap collective have begun to speak more about the loss, and the impact Yams had on their art and lives. Ferg told Vibe, “I feel his spirit every time I walk out the house.” He said that he speaks with Yams’ mother regularly, and that “there’s not a day that goes past that [he doesn’t] think about Yams.” “I really believe that Yams is still here with us, rockin’ with us,” Ferg told the reporter. “I feel his spirit every time I walk out the house. He’s the reason why we’re always safe at our shows, and why we keep climbin’ to the top. He foreseen a lot of this stuff. He was Yoda, bro,” Ferg continued. “He’s still here with us.
