Kanye West announced his candidacy for the 2020 presidential election (almost certainly unseriously, but hey—this is the Internet, after all) during last night’s VMAs, and the White House (among many, many others) has already weighed in on Mr. West’s potential race to the Oval Office.

According to press secretary Josh Earnest, the folks over at the West Wing are looking “forward to seeing what slogan he chooses to embroider on his campaign hat”—a dig at Donald Trump’s (somewhat flames, if we’re being honest) “Make America Great Again” hats. Obviously, the memes have already started rolling in—just think about how thirsty the hypebeasts would be for Kanye Kampaign attire…red, white and blue Yeezys, perhaps?
