New York singer/songwriter BOYSLASHFRIEND (aka Shan Poo) is getting ready to drop his debut album Low Key tomorrow (September 18) on Feel Up Records, the label of Major Lazer‘s Jillionaire—but that doesn’t mean it’s filled with EDM bangers.
Instead, the artist delves into the Drake-esque world of bachelor-dom in 2015, musing on love (and lust) over throwback-made-modern beats. “Not Me Not Now” is just one example of his of-the-moment sound—with production from The Two.Fifteens, the lilting song is begging for a dancefloor-ready remix. Low Key also features production from Obey City, MeLo-X, Joseph Marinetti, and Mess Kid (among others).
