So far we’ve heard Lowell master a sound that’s a mix of pop-punk and catchy electro-pop on her first few releases. With “Summertime,” though, the singer shows us yet another aspect to her. The track is a breezy ballad, nicely highlighting Lowell’s saccharine voice over waves of subtle piano and percussion. It’s an excellent track that not only fits in nicely with the progression of her work, but also shows an impressive versatility for a relatively new artist. “Summertime” will be included on her debut album, We Loved Her Dearly, due out September 16.
