John Metcalfe has worked on blending together elements of classical and pop sounds by arranging music for artists like Coldplay and Blur, but now he’s gearing up to release an album of his own. The first taste we get of what to expect on that is a stunning collaboration with Bat For Lashes’ Natasha Khan. The track features Khan’s etheral vocals over a subtle and mysterious build, until it blossoms into something much more robust, with full strings, piano, and percussion. Metcalfe’s The Appearance of Colour is out June 8, listen to “Just Let Go” below.
