Karen O of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs first told us about her debut solo album back in June. Since then she’s been slowly building a buzz for her project titled Crush Songs, an album comprised of songs she made when she was 27 (she’s now 35). Until now we had only heard “Rapt” and seen the video, but today Karen O shared her new number “Day Go By.”
Over light strumming on her guitar, Karen O delivers a wistful and heartfelt lullaby. The sound is soft and tender, an acoustic style that can’t help but pluck at your heartstrings. Listen below and look for the full album being released September 9 on Cult Records.
