The last we heard from Leks Rivers, he was lovelorn over unrequited love in the moody "You're My X & Here's Y." As the London-based singer returns with a new offering, it doesn't seem that his tone has changed much; if anything, "No Rest For The Wicked" is even more drenched in disdain than its predecessor as things take an even darker turn.
"I am not here to play / I am not here to love you / You falling a victim to fame / That is why I cannot trust you," warns Leks Rivers with his blistering vocals over ominous, haunting production. With each new song, Rivers shows an exceptional ability to make his emotions felt through his music. "No Rest For The Wicked" is no different in this, offering up an intensity so visceral that makes it the perfect soundtrack for those destructive, bridge-burning moods.
