Watch the Striking Visuals for KAMAU's "JAMBO"

After catching our attention last year with “The Sun King” and following that with solid effort after awesome cover after solid effort, KAMAU has yet to disappoint. Now, after a short hiatus, the MD-raised DC native is back with a new song and an accompanying set of visuals.

“JAMBO” is KAMAU is at his lyrical best with the rapid-fire delivery to match, rapping and singing with a primal ferociousness that makes him such a fascinating artist. Keeping with the aesthetic of any visuals we’ve received from him so far, the video features KAMAU (who co-directed the clip with Erick Cespedes) in black-and-white, spastically dancing to the beat of the song. What “JAMBO” lacks in length, it makes up for in energy—both the song and its visuals are thrilling.

KAMAU will be heading on tour with Lion Babe starting July 6 in support of his upcoming debut EP, A Gorgeous Fortune. He’ll also be performing New York City on June 6.

Pre-order A Gorgeous Fortune here and check out “JAMBO” above.
