Understated South London duo Echo Lake are making themselves heard with the upcoming release of their first full-length album, Wild Peace. In celebration, they have graced us with a glittering example of their work, in the form of a single of the same name. Ex-choirgirl Linda Jarvis and multi-faceted producer Thom Hill create a synergetic marriage which works in the most simple of ways. Relaxed, waltzing pipes head a dense assortment of layers which, if you lose concentration for a split-second, will tug you into the next astral plane. Echo Lake are shoegazing so hard I worry for their sidewalk navigational skills.
“Wild Peace” is the lead track from the the daring new album, released on the 27th June through No Pain in Pop.
