The outlook for the world finally getting an album from Black Hippy—the hip-hop supergroup consisting of TDE artists Kendrick Lamar, Ab-Soul, Jay Rock, and ScHoolboy Q—has been looking good recently, with the group remixing ScHoolboy Q’s “THat Part” and possibly touring together at some point.

However, in a recent interview, ScHoolboy Q put a damper on these dreams, saying that due to everybody’s busy schedules, recording a full-length Black Hippy album just may not be possible, although he did say that doing just one song would be “easy.”

“It’s just hard for us all to be in the same room cause we’re all busy now,” he told HotNewHipHop. “I’m pretty sure a posse cut… but a Black Hippy album I dunno, I can’t say that. A posse cut for sure. That’s easy, one song, but a whole album, that’s hard.”

Black Hippy has been together since 2009, and although its members have often collaborated with each other outside of the group, they have yet to release an album or mixtape together.
