Club cheval member Sam Tiba has a new EP, Not Dead Yet, out soon, and today, he shared “Sunshine Pulse (feat. SIROJ),” a head-bobbingly great new track from the release. The synth-inflected vocal melody and start-stop dynamics create a vibe that’s propulsive but keeps you on your toes, creating an exhilarating tension that doesn’t allow the song’s ambient qualities to fully take over… in a good way.
Tiba described the track as “a real fusion between my soul and R&B influences on one side and house vibes on the other.” He also teased a European tour in support of the EP in November and added that Club cheval’s debut LP should be out near the start of 2016.
Not Dead Yet is out on October 16 via Bromance Records—one of the independent labels that we think is killing it in 2015.
