As part of the Mashup Mondays series that Jimmy Kimmel Live has been doing in November, pop punk band Fall Out Boy merged with 90s soul heroes Boyz II Men to form Fall Out Boyz II Men, and the one-off supergroup performed Boyz II Men’s 1991 hit “Motownphilly.”
Beyond the addition of rock guitars to the instrumentation, the performance was nondescript. At the very least, it was likely a dream come true for Fall Out Boy frontman Patrick Stump, who used to perform the song during his solo performances in promotion of his 2011 album Soul Punk.
