We last heard from Dej Loaf with "Off The Top" from earlier this year, and now she's back with another new one, "Snakes."
On the YOG$-produced track, Dej raps about working hard to get what you want: "I’ve learned, you gotta be smarter than them niggas / Out-work your opponents, do shit independent / If you ain't where you wanna be, why the fuck are you chillin'? / Keep putting your life in danger, who gon' take care of them children?"
Because the song uses the instrumental from "Chicago Nights" by Felly, it doesn't seem likely the song will be on Dej Loaf's next album, so maybe it's something to hold the fans over until the project finally drops, which shouldn't be too far away considering she captioned the upload of "Snakes," "New Sounds From DeJ Loaf (Album Coming Soon)."
