It’s hard to keep tabs on the ever-mysterious Aphex Twin, but it now appears that a new release may soon be upon us: Record stores have been receiving posters titled “New Product Information” for Cheetah EP that look and read like a vintage audio gear advertisement, with lines like, “To assure you that your Cheetah EP will give you many years of enjoyment, please be sure to read the owner’s manual carefully before attempting to operate the Cheetah EP.”
The poster features the logos for both Aphex Twin and Warp Records, and Cheetah EP would be Aphex Twin’s first EP since last year’s Computer Controlled Acoustic Instruments pt2. At the moment, there’s not much else to know about the release, which is par for the course for Aphex Twin, so stay tuned.
