Jaymes Young came floating back via Earmilk today, taking that thick silky voice to the nightclub lounge in “Fragments.” But even when he’s crooning Young keeps the lazy charisma in his voice, and this time around he’s backed by a heavy electronic samba that smooths the mood to a tranquil place. It’s restrained and refreshingly…quiet. I think they even snuck a clave in there.
