Ever since including him in a 5 On It earlier this year, we’ve been more and more impressed with Broderick Batts the deeper we go into his discography. He’s back today with “¯\_(ツ)_/¯,” an uptempo collab with Erik Hassle.
It’s a meticulously crafted song, with subtle production adds from RRREYMUNDO keeping every section fresh and exciting. Hassle’s bright, sparse vocals make for a heart-wrenching chorus, and Batts takes care of the rest with a bevy of rhymes that result in what the press release calls “a sexy ode to love purgatory.” Stream below, and look out for Broderick Batts’ E11EVEN EP, coming soon.
