Last month Dev Hynes aka Blood Orange put on a special show at the Apollo in Harlem called “Blood Orange & friends.” Hynes brought out special guests Solange and Ratking among others, but the most surprising appearance was made by Nelly Furtado. The two performed together and had a limited edition cassette available at the show. Now one song from their collaborative project has surfaced onto Soundcloud via Disco Naïveté.
“Hadron Collider” is the type of pop gem we’ve come to expect from Dev Hynes. A soft-spoken ballad with beautiful melodies and a wonderful duet between Hynes and Furtado. No word on if the cassette will be available for purchase outside of Hynes’ “Blood Orange & friends” show, but, for now, you can listen to the title track below.
