News broke a few weeks back that Washed Out was working on the follow-up to his widely praised 2011 studio debut, Within and Without. Titled Paracosm, the sophomore effort is slated for an August 13 distribution date, and it already sounds more complex and evolved than anything Ernest Greene has done before. That’s largely due to the fact that he’s simply grown as a musician, and also chose to trade in his former Atlanta bedroom studio for more professional and spacious digs in an Athens, GA home. We’ve already heard a stylistic and instrumental shift in the album’s first single “It All Feels Right,” and “Don’t Give Up” continues in that same direction. Hear for yourself in the new lyric video above.
