Record Store Day is fast approaching (04/21) and there’s some pretty great stuff to look forward to this year. One of the expected releases is a split 7″ from Ra Ra Riot and Delicate Steve. It’s reported that one side will feature Delicate Steve covering Brian Eno’s “The Big Ship” with help from Ra Ra Riot, and the other will feature Ra Ra Riot covering Steve Winwood’s “Valerie” with assistance from Delicate Steve. You can stream the latter below. As a child of the 80’s and a big Steve Winood fan, I’m pleased to hear this song be reprised 20 years after it’s original debut.
Barsuk Records and Luaka Bop will also be offering the release.
