Neon Indian Performs "Polish Girl " Live on Jimmy Fallon (Videos)

1.

Funny man Jimmy Fallon has some how transformed his late night program into a modern day version of the Ed Sullivan Show. It’s become an almost obligatory box to check off on an artist’s performance resume and serves as a platform for both new and established acts to maximize their commercial exposure. Fallon established instant credibility by securing the legendary Roots crew as his house band, which I suspect has had something to do with the show’s ability to attract such a prestigious roster of performers that includes the likes of The Stokes, Paul Simon, Lauryn Hill, Pearl Jam, etc., but aside from that Jimmy exudes a general giddiness when presenting the acts and as a music nut that’s pretty neat to see.

Last night it was Neon Indian’s turn to take the stage, and take it they did. Incorporating visual elements from their video for “Polish Girl”, Alan Palomo and his band paired up with The Creators Project to offer viewers something not yet seen before on television. Their performance was spot on, and for comparison purposes I’ve also provided the official video for your review after the jump.

The band’s new album Era Extraña is out now and you can snag it off iTunes, here.
