Kurt Vile‘s latest album Wakin on a Pretty Daze has been receiving a lot of critical attention as one of his fullest, flushest records to date. This cut from his fifth full-length release “Never Run Away” celebrates the stability and comfort that Vile seems to have found in Philadelphia with his wife and family. Directed by the visual duo known as HARRYS, Kurt appears walking, setting off fire extinguishers and of course, playing guitar against different Philly backdrops. His all white suit with a cream/tan jacket contrasts with the cloudy urban scenery.
Jury’s still out on whether this journeyman-styled video with it’s old-fashioned tan film framing beats out the adorable antics from his daughter in the low budget initial video preview of the track. Possibly the scene of Kurt playing guitar on top of a white bus tops her, possibly.
