Sam Beam Iron & Wine

Sam Beam has become a scion of the modern folk movement. Under the moniker of Iron & Wine, Beam has been quietly recording some of the most compelling folk made in the last few decades, tracks marked by their paper-thin emotional confessions and slow, slow rhythms. Well, the latest two tracks from Beam break this mold a bit — as did parts of his 2011 Kiss Each Other Clean — “Grace for Saints and Ramblers” veers into pop territory with a staid approach. Stream the track below via Rolling Stone, check out the other new single “Lover’s Revolution” and look for the full album entitled Ghost on Ghost which will be out on April 16.
