Divine Fits Cover Bruce Springsteen's "Hungry Heart"

When Spoon and Wolf Parade melded their indie rock super powers to form Divine Fits at the beginning of last year, the music world rejoiced in the blessing it had received. But take the immense talent of Britt Daniel, Dan Boeckner and crew, and use it to cover Bruce Springsteen‘s sorrow-laced suburb wail of “Hungry Heart” and even the most hardened heart will yearn for something more again.

The track is courtesy of Australia’s triple j tv and their “Like a Version” series — you know the ones who formerly gave us the Dirty Projectors covering Usher’s emo-banger “Climax.” The combination of Divine Fits and The Boss is almost as genius as the initial collaboration between Spoon and Wolf Parade, so definitely check out the video and ponder the intricacies of the heart along with indie rock’s finest musicians.
