We first heard from Selah Sue way back when @Jennsdrunk introduced us to the Belgian songstress, followed quickly by a collaboration with Cee-Lo on his track “Please.” We are just now getting an update with her recent visuals for “This World,” which match the sultry, barely restrained tone of the song. Selah’s operating in an interesting gray area, unrestrained by genre boundaries. She hops through funk, jazz, rock and soul just in the time it takes to transition from verse to chorus, and the ensuing assimilation leads to something that feels modern, but with some inextricable throwback appeal as well.
