TULA have been on P&P’s radar for a minute, ever since they covered Chris Isaak’s karaoke classic “Wicked Game” last year. Now the Berlin-based Swedish quintet are back with an original single produced by Robyn collaborator Klas Åhlund, whose portfolio includes credits for Usher and Tove Lo. The song succeeds in proving that TULA are so much more than a cover band.

“River” is anthemic, building up from a delicate vocal harmony to a booming, full-throated chorus. It’s all very Scandinavian and sparkly, but with that ominous edge that artists from those countries do so well. Get bewitched by Tula below.
