The end-of-year lists are always a source of contention for the Pigeons & Planes team. Every year we end up publishing one list for best songs of the year, one for best albums, and one for best new artists, but it's never easy. It's a lose-lose, really. By the end of it, everyone has made sacrifices and nobody is actually happy with the final results, but that's life. If you're interested in seeing the opinions of each P&P contributor—or at least the ones who submitted their lists on time—here are the staff picks for best songs, best albums, and best new artists.
