Last month, Yasiin Bey, otherwise known as Mos Def, announced that he would be retiring in the near future. He released one last album earlier this week alongside his friend and producer Ferrari Sheppard called December 99th, which is currently streaming exclusively on Tidal. To celebrate his long, fruitful career, the hip-hop legend scheduled a string of farewell concerts before his retirement.
One of his farewell concerts took place at the historic Apollo Theater in Harlem last night, and he has returned to the venue tonight to perform a second show. Last night, he was joined by collaborators Pharoahe Monch and Slick Rick for a special performance. He also debuted tracks from December 99th during the event, creating an unforgettable night for the attendees. Tidal subscribers can watch a livestream of his second concert, which started tonight at 8 P.M. E.S.T.
