At the beginning of the week, British rapper Little Simz announced the upcoming release of her sophomore album Stillness in Wonderland and shared two excellent singles. "Poison Ivy" and "Picture Perfect" gave fans a taste of the variety of sonic textures and flows used on the LP. She revealed Stillness in Wonderland by creating a clever arrangement of billboards throughout London. Today, the album has arrived.Â
Simz describes the album as "a story of personal evolution, finding faith within and tackling self-doubt, embracing your instincts and letting your intuition steer you toward your personal paradise, whilst at the same time attempting to avoid the distractions, complacency and pitfalls of 'Wonderland.'" The album is her first full-length release since last year's AGE 101: DROP X mixtape, and her first formal album since A Curious Tale Of Trials + Persons. Stillness in Wonderland features a stacked list of collaborators, including contributions from Syd,Chronixx,Bibi Bourelly, and more.
Along with the album, Simz has shared a limited edition four-part comic book written by Eddie "Versetti" Smith and illustrated by Mckay Felt. The story follows Simz as she navigates a dystopian world on a quest of self-discovery.
