For the release of Bon Iver's 22, A Million, a number of listening events were held in cities worldwide during which newspapers filled with art made for the album were given out for free. Fans who weren't able to attend the events searched high and low for these limited edition newspapers, but the band's label, Jagjaguwar, had warned fans against purchasing copies on eBay at exorbitant prices.
As it turns out, the label had further plans for the rest of those newspapers: Bon Iver announced today via Twitter that all the leftover copies will be sent to record stores around the world.
Last month, Bon Iver announced the launch of 2 A Million, a campaign that aims to create "person-to-person connections in an effort to end gender inequality, domestic violence, and sexual abuse." The band aims to partner with local organizations in the cities in which they'll visit during their upcoming tour to promote gender equity.
