Check out Swedish Pop Artist Sophia Somajo's "Sapphire"

Sweden has long been known for huge, accessible pop that’s slightly left of center, and Sophia Somajo is keeping the reputation strong. Sophia first emerged in 2007 with a DIY album—self-written, produced, and recorded—called The Laptop Diaries, but before picking up international buzz she struggled with agoraphobia, retreated from the public eye, and changed her name to Soso.

“I’m very low maintenance as an artist,” she explains. “I do my own videos, my own press shots in my kitchen with my boyfriend. Most people would say you can’t be an artist if you don’t want to be the center of attention, but I make songs and that comes very naturally to me.”

She came back in late 2015 with “Klein Blue,” and she solidifies her return with “Sapphire,” an enormous pop song with a powerful hook and a dark edge.
