UPDATE 6/14/2016 (10:20 AM EST): It has been officially confirmed that Lil Wayne suffered a minor seizure yesterday. A representative for Wayne told The Fader that he is now in stable condition after yesterday’s scare.
“We can confirm that he did experience a minor seizure earlier this afternoon,” the representative said. “Under the guidance of his own doctors, he is now in stable condition and good spirits. He thanks his fans for their everlasting support, prayers and well wishes.”
UPDATE 6/13/2016 (5:34 PM EST): According to TMZ, Lil Wayne suffered from a second seizure after reportedly refusing medical attention. He was brought back to his private jet and was in the air for minutes when the second seizure occurred. Wayne had lost consciousness, and paramedics were treating him on the aircraft. He has since been transported to the hospital by ambulance.
TMZ has reported that during a cross-country flight from Milwaukee, Wisconsin to California, Lil Wayne suffered from a seizure that forced his private jet to make an emergency landing in Nebraska. According to TMZ, the rapper blacked out during the flight.
Paramedics are tending to Lil Wayne at the airstrip and he is once again alert, but is reportedly refusing medical treatment.
This is not the first time that Lil Wayne has had a seizure, having suffered from multiple seizures and one that was near fatal in 2013. He revealed later that he is epileptic and had suffered from many seizures in the past.
