It’s been two years since clipping. released their excellent sophomore album CLPPNG, but the Los Angeles trio is back with a new EP.

The collective continues to be one of the most exciting acts in hip-hop with Wriggle: Jonathan Snipes and William Hutson’s dizzying, hectic production and Daveed Diggs’ sharp rhymes delivered at a breakneck pace come together for a jarring but fascinating result. While the EP is only six songs in length, its frantic pace makes Wriggle feel like something much grander.

This past Sunday, Daveed Diggs won a Tony Award for “Best Featured Actor in a Musical” for his work in Hamilton, in which he plays the Marquis de Lafayette and Thomas Jefferson.

clipping. will be releasing their currently untitled third album this fall via Sub Pop/Deathbomb Arc. In the meantime, stream the trio’s latest EP and take a look at the tracklisting for Wriggle below.
