Made LA, a new series of events at L.A. Live’s Event Deck, will host a fashion show this summer. Tyler, The Creator has been asked if his clothing line Golf Wang would be a part of it, and he confirmed that his brightly colored fabrics will be on the runway.
“I just figured, Why not? Why not do something different?” he told Vogue. “Not everybody in the upper fashion world is wearing all-black Saint Laurent pieces and is super pretentious. I want to show them a different world.” He also spoke about his design process, saying it’s based more on intuition than anything technical: “I just make whatever clothes I want to wear for the next five months and then run that. I don’t really put deep, intricate thought into it — it’s more like a feeling.”
The “presentation and experience” will take place on June 11. In the meantime, check out a few of Tyler’s recent looks below.
