Lil Silva has been keeping quiet since the release of his Drumatic EP in 2015, but he’s got some good news for those who have been waiting for new music.
The British producer will be releasing a new EP, JIMI (Journey Inside My Imagination), and to give us a taste of what’s to come, Lil Silva has also shared the first single from the project. “Lines” features his own vocal arrangements and is a “consistent reflection of the EP’s overarching theme of immersion into a more meditative state of mind.” His growth as an artist is evident in the song, layering soothing vocals over hypnotic textures for a euphoric result.
In addition to working on his EP, Lil Silva started off 2016 with a bang: he co-produced “Lay Me Down” for Adele with Mark Ronson. No small feat for any producer, and surely that experience only added to the creation of JIMI.
The six-track EP arrives May 6 via Good Years. In the meantime, listen to “Lines” below.
