PREMIERE: Watch The Video For Florida Rapper Kent Loon's "Selena"

Florida hip-hop is having a moment (see: Kodak Black, Broderick Batts, Kaiydo), and Chester Watson is one of our favorites doing it right now. He just put us on to another Florida rapper named Kent Loon, who was born to a Colombian mother and a Chinese father in Bogota, Colombia. Loon moved to St. Petersburg, Florida at the age of four, and met Watson in high school. He’s now a part of Watson’s Nü Age collective.

“Kent is basically the fly guy of the group,” Watson explains. “So you see the contrast. You can hear it in the music that our styles are different, but just mesh well.”

Watson contributes some vicious production on “Selena,” and Kent matches the energy. Check out the “Selena” video above, and keep an eye on Florida.
