If actress and singer Keke Palmer is revving up to release a new album soon, having Ty Dolla $ign and Dej Loaf feature on one of her songs is a great way to generate some buzz. The two jumped on a remix of Palmer’s “I Don’t Belong To You” that was shared today, and the re-worked song features short but effective verses from $ign and Loaf interspersed with Palmer’s sung choruses, all atop a smooth R&B palette.
The original version of “I Don’t Belong To You” was released as a single in October 2015. Palmer’s most recent full-length drop was a self-titled mixtape from 2012, but her debut and only LP, So Uncool, was released back in 2007, when she was just 14 years old. She has not yet announced her sophomore album, but she did ink a deal with Island Records last August, so it very well might be forthcoming.
