In most cases, a drunk musician on social media results in no good, but if you’re Aphex Twin, it means that we get a new glitchy electronic tune. Last night, he uploaded a new song onto his SoundCloud titled “T17 Phase Out” and captioned it, “i prolly i shntnde downoied thi coz im drunki m ena uploaded..” We’re having a hard time totally translating this, which probably adds more credence to the fact that he was intoxicated.
“T17 Phase Out” is the 7th new song that Aphex Twin has shared on SoundCloud this month, so either he’s preparing a new release—his most recent album is 2014’s Syro—or cleaning all the musical loose ends out of his closet. We’re thinking it’s the latter.
