I used to think that the best part of getting old was the fact that I could watch Jeopardy and drink white wine and no one would think I’m weird, but now I have a whole new outlook on my elderly years. That’s because this 67-year-old woman has shown me that there’s so much more to look forward to. Like, for example, being the lead singer of a grindcore band, which is exactly what she’s doing now.
Self-dubbed, “The Grindmother,” this Canadian mother initially started singing at the request of her son for his band, but then had such a good time doing so, decided to embark on her own project. And if you think this is just a gimmick, it’s not. Her work is attracting attention from heavy metal greats, like Ozzy Osbourne who recently tweeted about her music.
