Kendrick Lamar and J. Cole shared some Black Friday gifts with us with each rapper releasing a track called “Black Friday.” Kendrick freestyled over Cole’s “A Tale of 2 Citiez” and Cole freestyled over To Pimp A Butterfly cut, “Alright.” Rumors about a collaborative album between the two rappers have been spreading and it doesn’t help that Cole hinted at something in the works on his “Black Friday” freestyle: “But this February, bet shit gets scary when I fuck around and drop [censored].” The track cuts off leaving us to wonder if the rumors are true.

Kayla Duckworth, Kendrick’s sister, took to social media to add fuel to the fire and speculation. In an Instagram and Facebook post she mentioned a “collab” between the two would be dropping in February of next year. It’s unclear if their collaboration would be a full blown album or a single. The post has since been removed, but you can check out a screenshot of it below.
