CHVRCHES gave us an idea of what to expect from their new album, and their last song “Leave a Trace” was a glorious continuation of their bright, catchy, synth-drenched sound. The Scottish group knows what people like about them and—for now, at least—they aren’t venturing too far from the sound they’ve mastered. If they can keep making songs this good, that’s just fine. Their sophomore album Every Open Eye is due September 25.
