When I spoke with Banoffee last fall, she told me she had been busy recording new material with a bunch of producers and artists in L.A. This week, we get a taste of what that material sounds like with the release of her new song, “With Her.” The track is a warm, synth heavy electro-pop jam that bridges forward-thinking production with an accessible, catchy hook. It’s a step away from the R&B sound she previously had been integrating into her music, but one that makes sense in the progression of her catalog.
