There’s a lot of talent coming out of Australia these days, but what’s particularly exciting is that this talent is so young. We saw this last week with 18-year-old Baro, and now we’re seeing it again this week with 19-year-old Cloves. Her new single is “Don’t You Wait,” an emotional tour-de-force about falling in love for the first time. Yet instead of overloading the song with layers of instrumentation, Cloves expertly lets her powerful vocals do the muscle work, drawing you in with each word she utters.
“Don’t You Wait” follows her equally impressive debut, “Frail Love,” both of which will land on a three song EP titled XIII, out late August. Get familiar with Cloves now by listening to her newest below. It’s worth it.
