The connection between U.S. hip-hop and grime has been seen more and more over the past few months, with rappers like Kanye West and Drake showing love to the artists overseas. Now A$AP Rocky is joining that conversation with a new movie, which will star the likes of Skepta, Dangermouse, Novelist and Piff Gang.
The project was produced by AWGE, Rocky’s in-house creative team, and co-produced by Rick Owen’s wife Michele Lamy.
There are no details as to when the film will be releasing or what it’s about as of yet, but it just shows how much Rocky is willing to step outside the box for the sake of art, as well as how much London’s grime scene is having an impact on today’s hip-hop.
