With an impressive list of both intoxicating R&B singles and A-list cosigns, it would be almost impossible for NYC duo LION BABE not to make waves in the now bursting-at-the-seams world of alt-R&B.
In “Don’t Break My Heart” though, the latest in a string of solid visuals, frontwoman Jillian Hervey takes a leap into an FKA-esque realm of experimentation, shrouding herself in smoke and silver body paint for a memorable (and yes, entirely sexy) new video. The gritty, industrial vibes have almost an early-00’s throwback feel to them (“I’m a Slave 4 U,” anyone?).
